CAPCL held dedication ceremony for school reopening

Christian Alliance P. C. Lau Memorial International School (CAPCL) held its dedication ceremony to celebrate the school reopening and showcase its first-ever collaborative project of a mosaic wall.

Guests at the ceremony include Mr Derry McDonell, Consul and Program Manager of the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao; Ms Magdalena Lee, a representative from Mrs P.C. Lau’s family; and other representatives from the school sponsoring body, Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance.

After the performance of a beautiful hymn – Hymn of Promise – by the school choir, Mr Derry McDonell and Ms Magdalena Lee unveiled the mosaic wall that features nine attributes of ‘The Fruit of the Spirit’ – Love (L), Joy (J), Peace (P), Patience (P), Kindness (K), Goodness (G), Faithfulness (F), Gentleness (G), and Self-control (S).

Founded in 1992, CAPCL offers education to students from Preparatory to Grade 3. Moving forward, it will expand to Grade 4 in 2021-2022. The school reopened in August 2020 after three years of renovation, and will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
