Legislators discuss draft law on retaliating against foreign sanctions

China’s apex legislature, the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress, started its 29th session Monday to review multiple draft laws and law amendments, state news agency Xinhua reports.

The session’s agenda includes reviewing draft laws on Hainan free trade port, on stamp tax, and on opposing foreign sanctions.

Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the session’s first plenary meeting.
