The Langham marks its 156th year with a very merry unbirthday afternoon tea. Paying homage to its British heritage, it is holding an Afternoon Tea with Alice at Palm Court until July 31.
“The Langham, London was the first hotel to serve afternoon tea when it opened on June 10, 1865. This indulgence continues to live on in all of The Langham hotels today,” said The Langham, Hong Kong’s Marcel Holman.
The theme was chosen as Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was written in 1865, the same year when the London flagship hotel was opened.
Inspired by the classic, the tea (from HK$398) is a gastronomical wonderland presented on a whimsical, forest-inspired terrarium.
