Vitasoy clarifies internal memo circulated online to be unauthorized

Vitasoy International Holdings Ltd clarified that the internal memo circulated online last night regarding the attack in Causeway Bay was not authorized.

Vitasoy issued an official statement on Weibo, saying that the memo related to Leung Kin-fai, the attacker in Causeway Bay was personally written by an employee and forwarded to other staff members internally.

The document was not authorized by the company, Vitasoy stressed. It was also not approved according to established procedures. The company added that the language used in the document was inappropriate.

Vitasoy added the company supports the stable development and prosperity of Hong Kong and condemns any violent actions that damage the city’s peace and order.

Vitasoy will fully comply with the investigation of police and the government over the July 1 attack in accordance with the law.
