More measures will be introduced to facilitate Hongkongers’ life in Qianhai, Shenzhen mayor Qin Weizhong said.
“We will launch more measures to facilitate Hong Kong and Macau residents’ life and work in Qianhai, to build a high quality living area that is suitable for living, working and traveling,” Qin said.
He also said Qianhai will have schools, hospitals and other public services which link to the system in Hong Kong.
“Public services including education, medical and social security [in Qianhai] will also be lined up with Hong Kong and Macau, to promote Hong Kong and Macau residents to enjoy the same livelihood benefits as other local residents,” he added.
Qin also said Qianhai has attracted over 3,650 talented people from Hong Kong to work there so far, while Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub has incubated 245 Hong Kong start-ups.
