Over 4.37 million people in Hong Kong have gotten their first dose of a Covid vaccine as of yesterday night, with 3.9 million of them having received both doses.
An additional 8,700 people have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday, taking the city’s tally of people who have received their first jab to 4,376,100. Of this number, about 1,589,300 have received the Sinovac vaccine and about 2,786,800 have received the BioNTech vaccine.
Meanwhile, a total of 3,902,300 individuals have received their second dose of the vaccine, with about 1,429,200 receiving the Sinovac vaccine and about 2,473,100 receiving the BioNTech vaccine.
On Wednesday, six individuals were sent to the hospital after experiencing common side effects following vaccination and were in stable condition. Five of them were discharged while one was admitted for observation.
