Hong Kong Tourism Board has signed a deal with a leading entertainment company to promote the city in Korean dramas and variety shows.
The board signed a three-year deal with CJ ENM to promote Hong Kong as a travel destination through its shows.
The company is behind popular Korean dramas including Crash Landing On You, Goblin: The Lonely and Great God, Hospital Playlist and Vincenzo, and reality shows Youn’s Kitchen and New Journey to the West.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will see Hong Kong featured in a variety of shows made by CJ ENM from 2022 until 2024 when travel restrictions ease, beaming the city’s unique lifestyle and culture into the living rooms of global audiences.
Shows made by CJ ENM are currently available across more than 200 countries and on streaming platforms such as Netflix.
